Description:
This position will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure proper shipping and receiving procedures are being followed in order to maintain a safe and high quality product for our customers. Responsibilities: Operate computer terminal, print labels. Required to use scanner and scale. Produce labels as needed. Participate in the monthly and annual inventory. Direct Inbound traffic via radio. Communicate with vendors and drivers on a frequent basis during the day. Protect delivery rating and advise when problems arise. Coordinate UPS and Fed Ex deliveries and shipments. Sending accurate and on time ASNs Identify waste minimization and material recycling opportunities where applicable. Comply with Company’s GMPs: “Good Manufacturing Practices”. Operate in accordance with safety, quality and environmental standards.Ergonomic Environment: Work in outside weather conditions and in refrigerated trucks. Working at a computer terminal as required. Work in office environment in Warehouse. Requires remaining in a stationary position for long amounts of time (on forklift) Alternate between sitting on equipment and standing. Fast-paced environment. Moves/lifts objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally. Constantly positions self to perform duties and functions of job to include bending and twisting.Good environmental cleaning is a must – **Food Mentality**Requires candidate to maneuver, move, position, transport, ascend/descend stairs and platforms.Requires successful completion of skills assessment and be trainable. Qualifications:* High school diploma/GED* Minimum two years’ experience operating Forklift with current forklift certification or have had certification within the past 6 months; Commercial Food Processing work experience a plus* 8-12 hour shifts as required to support incoming and outgoing trucks.* Moderate computer skills to include experience with tracking Inventory, Excel, Work and ERP systems.
