Duties/Responsibilities
About the Position: The Executive Administrator (EA) reports to the Head of School (HOS) and serves on the Senior Leadership Team. The EA provides critical support to the HOS, serving as the first point of contact for parents, faculty, staff, the Board, and the community. The ideal candidate will bring a professional, service-oriented, and friendly demeanor to the role and have a track record as a resourceful thinker who consistently demonstrates integrity, takes proactive steps to manage responsibilities, and is able to anticipate and effectively deal with challenges.
Specific competencies and responsibilities include:
coordinate and help execute the work of the HOS, while also managing the day-to-day administrative work of the office;
demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills by drafting speeches and other communication for the HOS and handling inquiries from all constituents;
be an effective and organized administrator with experience managing multiple different tasks, projects, and priorities simultaneously;
have extensive experience in meeting planning, managing correspondence, record keeping, scheduling, and tracking budgets;
be a customer service driven professional who is responsive to the needs of the Board, parents, faculty, staff, and external constituents;
be a flexible, results oriented, self-starter who understands the academic-year cycle and prioritizes work accordingly, facilitating the work of the HOS to meet critical deadlines;
manage challenging situations and interactions while maintaining confidentiality and solving problems to achieve the best outcomes for all;
supervise two other assistants and the school receptionist and,
be a knowledgeable and proficient user of Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree and three (3) years of experience as an administrative assistant.
Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree, experience working with a Board, supervisory experience, and Executive Assistant or Executive Administrator experience are strongly preferred.
