Court Operations Manager

Salary Range: $54,700-$91,100

General Description and Classification Standards

Manages a variety of functions associated with the effective operations of Restore Atlanta Division.

Responsible for the supervision of Restore Atlanta staff, direct court-related activities, develops policy and procedural guidelines, and provides training for all employees within division.

Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) towards establishing and maintaining quality control procedures for the Municipal Court of Atlanta’s alternative sentencing program, Restore Atlanta division.

Oversees grant procurement and internal auditing, ensuring compliance with city codes and all applicable Federal, state, and local laws.

Responsible for the completion and review of all case management systems within the Restore Atlanta division, both paper and electronic.

Provides quality customer service to all citizens that come to the City of Atlanta Municipal Court.

Communicate and provide evidence of initiatives within Restore Atlanta Division’s in making notable progress towards recidivism within the city of Atlanta

The Court operations manager will support, collaborate, manage, plan, coordinate and advocate for options and services to meet the Restore Atlanta participants comprehensive needs through communication and viable resources.

 

Manages related areas typical through subordinate supervisors.

Assist in the financial responsibility in developing and maintaining a Grant Library by researching and cataloguing municipal, county, state, and federal grant opportunities. Also, the manager will oversee the use of Court funding to provide for psychological services and ensure compliance within the budget.

Develops operating plans and budgets for the activities managed.  Plans for the talent needs of the organization and develops employees.

Supervision Received

Direction received is general and focuses more on long-term and short-term operating objectives, managerial effectiveness, and operating results.  This level would be considered “middle” management.

Record all staff progress towards departmental goals set and case status to defendant’s assigned to Restorative Board, TLC, or Clinical file as occurs

Provide guidance as general nature and focus on objectives, end results, and policies for departmental growth and need.

Assist with or completes employee performance appraisals

Acts as a liaison between employees and management

Coordinates training and development programs for assigned staff, continuously trains staff in appropriate operations, policies, and procedures.

Collect and track data for monthly, quarterly and annual program reporting.

Assist in the sessions of staff members to analyze the need of Restore Atlanta division.

Facilitate recommended grants to vet the proposal, format, and timeframes for completion and submission of grants.

Manage, review and edit drafts of grant proposals generated by staff members.

Process a variety of documentation associated with Restore Atlanta Division, within designated timeframes, and per established procedures.

Establish a confidential Standard Operation Procedures for keeping client information data base in accordance with HIPPA.

Research and prepare analytical reports and correspondence.

Develop and propose procedural updates to be in compliance in accordance to Restore Division best practices.

Stays abreast of technology changes that can positively/negatively affect the court’s operations of Restore Atlanta Division.

Develops and maintains appropriate Standard Operating Procedures for all managed roles under Restore Atlanta.

Maintain knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures for the Municipal court of Atlanta, as it related to Restore Atlanta court operations management and human resource practices, policies and procedures as necessary in the completion of daily responsibilities.

Supervises staff including performance planning, evaluation and monitoring; provide training as needed.

Ensuring defendants and customers are receiving quality customer service.

Receive and resolve complaints and inquiries from public regarding Court policies and procedures.

Prepares monthly local and state mandated reports.

Ensures that customer complaints and discrepancies are responded to timely and appropriately

Supervises the retention of Restore Atlanta Division court records including physical location of these records within Restore Atlanta
