Job Description

DHS is comprised of three divisions: Division of Aging Services, Division of Child Support Services, and the Division of Family and Children Services.

The Office of Financial Services is seeking the position of Accountant 3. This position is located at 2 Peachtree Street NW, Atlanta, GA.

Job Description
Pay Grade: K

The Accounts Payable Supervisor position reports directly to the Accounts Payable Manager. This position supervises the DFCS and General Administrative Services. This position provides support to external and internal customers inquires for contracts payable. This position ensures completion of AP-Contracts Payable and Travel related expenditures daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activities.

Role and Responsibilities:

Ensure Travel statements, Basic Expense Forms and Purchase Orders are processed and paid accurately and timely.
Ensure all Travel statements follow SAO policies and requirements.
Follow up on Cash Advances and Cash Advance returns pending.
Ensure Grant-In-Aid vouchers payments are processed and released timely, coordinating with DHS Revenue section.
Assist in the review, correction, and mailing of 1099’s.
Research contracts and Purchase Order status.
Complete assigned monthly journal entries and close activities.
Weekly audits of processing staff for compliance with AP procedures and documentation requirements.
Assist Manager with training Agency on OFS policies and procedures.
