Chef Kevin Gallespie’s newest addition to the Atlanta scene was pretty tough to get into at first but is finally a little bit easier to access now. Located right on the Beltline this trendy spot is going kill it with not only the food but a great location. The upstairs bar and patio are sure to be packed once the weather starts warming up. Don’t let the name fool you. Cold Beer is much more, if not at all, a place to grab a “cold beer”. The drinks and food are what you would expect from the creator of Gunshow, Gallespie’s other restaurant in the ATL. Each drink and dish are beautifully presented. Our favorite drinks were the Tres Paloma with the three layered ice cub and hint of habenero as well as the Sparkling Chartreuse Gimlet. With the creative menu changing with the season two staples that seem to stay on the menu that we tried were the Smoked and Fried Hot wings and the Dry Aged Beef Tartar. We recommend you get a bunch of plates and share with these two definitely on the list. With them now serving brunch as well you can believe we will be back shortly to see what cool stuff they have come up with now.
